Set between Mount Maunganui and Pāpāmoa, Pacific Lakes is a contemporary lakeside retirement village shaped around community, wellbeing and connection to its natural surroundings. At its centre is The Pavilion, a new 2,500m² community hub overlooking the lake. Designed by Peddlethorp with interiors by Space Studio, it brings together hospitality, wellness and recreation, with generous outdoor terraces extending village life into the landscape.
DEVON® Milford Sofas, Waiata Dining Chairs and custom-crafted teak dining tables were selected for the outdoor areas. The furniture sits comfortably within the warm timber aesthetic and support the everyday rituals of village life, from a morning coffee to long lunches and shared meals overlooking the water.
Crafted from natural materials and designed for longevity, each piece will weather gently alongside the architecture and landscape. We were privileged to work alongside the team to create an outdoor space that invites the residents to gather and relax, reinforcing the sense of connection and belonging at the heart of Pacific Lakes.
