DEVON® was born in the summer of ’76, when two Kiwi mates, Bruce Barnes and Howard Sneddon, set out crafting wooden furniture in their old tin shed. But it wasn’t just any furniture, it had to be “the best outdoor furniture money could buy”.
Today, after 50 trips around the sun DEVON® furniture lives on. Because after all these years, we remain rooted in timeless design, enduring materials and genuine craftsmanship.

The DEVON® story begins in way back in ’76, but let’s fast forward to 2019 when Matthias purchased DEVON® to bring the much-loved brand back to its Auckland roots. With a love for the outdoors, an eye for design, and a childhood spent in his grandfather's woodworking shed, reviving New Zealand's oldest outdoor furniture brand made perfect sense.
