Founded by Kim Thorp and Andy Coltart 20 years ago, Black Barn is a boutique vineyard in the heart of the Hawkes Bay. Today, Black Barn boasts 25 acres of vineyard growing premium Bordeaux-style varieties at the foothills of Te Mata peak, plus a portfolio of 16 luxury accommodation retreats.
Euchre Lodge is the latest residence to join the fold. Inspired by the local vernacular, the lodge is ‘modern-country’ style with its board and batten exterior and pitched roof resembling a traditional farmhouse. The feel of understated luxury flows through the indoors and out, with high-end New Zealand design being evident in the careful selection process of furnishings, fabrics, and furniture.
